Alan Wolton Pieces to be Featured at Top International Art Fair

Sedona, AZ (June 28, 2011) – Four Alan Wolton pieces will be featured at the ArtHamptons International Fine Art Fair at Sayre Park, 154 Snake Hollow Rd, in Bridgehampton, NY July 8-10, 2011.

Summer Sunflowers, Treasures of the Sea, Lily Patch and Iris Contrasts are the Wolton oil paintings to be featured. Wolton, known for his powerful statements of loaded impastos, uses the impasto technique where paint is laid on the canvas very thickly, providing texture and dimension to the piece so that the paint appears to be coming out of the canvas.
This will be the fourth consecutive year for ArtHamptons, which has emerged as the nation's premier summer fine art fair for post-war and contemporary art. This year's fair is partnering with many of the area's leading cultural organizations and is expecting over 10,000 art lovers to attend.

"I like my paintings to stop passers-by who had only by accident caught a glimpse of the picture," says Wolton. "What they see should be breathtakingly different - a subconscious visual high spiked by a happy relationship of colors, tones, forms and cleanliness."
ArtHamptons will kick off with an Opening Preview on July 7 to benefit LongHouse Reserve which brings together art and nature with a strong conviction that the arts are central to living wholly and creatively. Dedicated to quality and integrity, LongHouse programs encourage a broad concept of learning.
